MUSIC IN MOLKOM
The non-profit organizing association Kreativa Egon, in collaboration with the Folk High School and local entrepreneurs, has created recurring music events that attract visitors to little Molkom, from near and far!

In the summer of 2023, three concerts in three different genres were held to appeal to and meet the wishes of an wide audience, and they have managed to attract visitors from many other municipalities, counties and countries! The project support has made it possible to create a professional arena for music in Molkom through this major initiative that has had a good impact and created attention and interest in music Sweden. The effort has now made it possible to continue in the long term with annually recurring events that attract both audiences and artists from all over Sweden. The synth concert turned out to be the focus that had the greatest impact!
All activities are carried out with a very large non-profit contribution from the association's members and a great commitment from residents and those working in Molkom - volunteers, the association Vi Unga i Molkom, local entrepreneurs and several other actors have worked with planning, stage construction and all other work around the concerts. In addition to the large non-profit contribution, they have also been able to borrow technical equipment for the concerts from Studiefrämjandet and have received free room rent from Molkom's Folkhögskola, which has also collaborated through its restaurant operations.
The project has created a new arena for music in the countryside that provides good synergy effects for the tourism industry and other stakeholders involved. A local music scene also means increased access to services and an increased quality of life for the general public in the countryside.
Project
The purpose of the project is to initiate the construction of a regional arena for music events in Molkom, which will ultimately contribute to the town's attractiveness for visitors, residents and entrepreneurs.
The goal is to organize three music events during the summer of 2023 with approximately 250 visitors on each occasion.
