About the project
The purpose of the project is to strengthen the attractiveness of the area and to manage and develop a fine natural and cultural area for a broader target group.
The Troll Trail in Skived is an adventure trail with a fairy tale theme that has taken shape and received its characters thanks to non-profit forces. In collaboration with the ForshagaAkademin high school and the Forshaga local history association, the popular excursion destination has now been upgraded and developed further. The project involves renewing the trail with new characters, upgrading the barbecue area with a windbreak and building an activity trail for children. It also includes developing the area where Skived's exercise trail is connected to Forshaga Hembygdsgård by building a sheepfold between the two areas. The aim is to offer opportunities for exercise and activity, recovery, experiences and new knowledge. The project also involves increased accessibility adaptation.
The Trollspåret is a well-visited and appreciated excursion destination. The project will expand the area with an activity path, a wind-protected barbecue area, an accessible toilet and better parking facilities, as well as a sheep pen adjacent to the nearby local history museum.
