Mini support – Emergency preparedness in the vicinity
A LAG-owned umbrella project aimed at facilitating smaller participatory activities to strengthen local preparedness and resilience in the community.
About the project
Due to both the pandemic and war in our vicinity, people's awareness of preparedness has increased, but there is a gap regarding support and investments to capture local initiatives on the issue. Leader Närheten has been represented by both the secretariat and members at conferences organized by Region Värmland focusing specifically on preparedness – where it became clear that there is no instance for associations and other smaller actors to turn to for financial support for, e.g., inventory and establishment of various preparedness functions in the smaller locality. Leader Närheten therefore wants to implement the umbrella project to facilitate local actors in carrying out participatory activities that contribute to strengthening local preparedness.
Project purpose and goals
The purpose of the project is to make it easier for idea carriers to implement smaller projects and strengthen local preparedness and resilience in society.
The goal is to administer the umbrella project and distribute support to at least 8 sub-activities linked to strengthened preparedness and resilience.
The activities in the project are project management, administration, processing, information dissemination, project coaching, meetings, and participatory activities.
