The application concerns support for building a downhill course and a low-altitude course within the framework of an activity park that also includes a skate park and parkour facility. The project is needed to stimulate children, young people and the disabled to an active outdoor life. The aim is also for the park to become a social and natural meeting place for families and the elderly in Karlstad municipality with a new focus on Väse. The project also aims to increase the local tourism industry by having school classes and families from Karlstad, Kristinehamn and surrounding municipalities travel out of the central areas. In the long term, the hope is that the number of visits will lead to the establishment of a store, which can also increase new arrivals and new construction.

The project is an important part of rural development within Karlstad municipality with a focus on children, young people and the disabled. The elderly are also stimulated to a new meeting place for balance and coordination training. An important factor is to activate the aforementioned groups in outdoor activities geared towards today's popular forms of exercise. It is also hoped that damage will be reduced as a result of new interests.

The park is today a very popular and popular excursion destination in connection with the fitness trail in the forest. It now has both the downhill course and the low-altitude climbing course that it started with, as well as facilities for skating, parkour, an outdoor gym, barbecue areas, toilets and parking.
