modern circus
Circus in a modern form – as a way to promote public health, increase the quality of life and create development in community life, employment and tourism in rural areas!
About the project
The aim of the project is to create a cultural heritage through circus schools and annually recurring circus festivals in rural Värmland. The intention is also to create jobs for circus artists and circus educators and to create development in the countryside and in the community. The aim is to offer a new form of leisure activity for children and young people and an inclusive way to increase the number of people involved in community life, from all over society, and also invest in rewarding collaborations with schools, preschools and retirement homes. The project involves a very large non-profit effort as a large number of different associations are involved in the work.
The first festival in Forshaga was held in the summer of 2022 and was a great success!
